ADVENTURE TOURS

 







BAÑOS

Time: 3Days/2Nights
Located at 2 ½ hours from Quito and with a lot of attractions in the route.
Baños is a small city under the Tungurahua volcano and in the front door to the Ecuadorian jungle, reason for which there’s  great amount of animals and typical plants of the zone can be seen. There are 2 variations of this tour:

Day 01: Depart from Quito in south direction through the Volcanoes Avenue, we take a brief technical stop in Salcedo to taste cream flavors ice creams and continued the route. Lunch in Baños, City tour visiting the viewpoint of Runtun and Ines Maria waterfall.  Return to the hotel.

Day 02: Breakfast, depart to the jungle, mainly to El Puyo city where we will visit “OMAERE” a  private protected forest that is managed by the SHUAR indigenous culture.

Día 03: Breakfast. Visit the "Ornithological Center San Martin.
Return to Quito.

BELLAVISTA  CLOUD FOREST
                                                                     
Time: 8 Hours
Is a hidden humid forest in western slopes of the Ecuadorian mountainous area in the southern border of the region of Choco that’s why it is the center of greater biodiversity animal and vegetable of the Andean countries like: great amount of ferns, bromelias, several species of specially hummingbirds, insects and mammals among others. A Cloud forest Lodge, that offers a comfortable environment for relaxing, bird watching, and hiking on an extensive trail system owned and maintained by Bellavista.
Tour: Depart from Quito (), with nor-western direction of Quito, crossing the valley and monument to half of the World. We visit the viewpoint the crater of the Pululahua, after almost 1 1/2 hours we arrive at Bellavista, where we enjoy walking in its footpaths.

CUICOCHA TREK

Time: 8 Hours

Cuicocha, the young crater of the Cotacachi Volcano, in its interior an extensive lake and in it’s middle three small barren islands that plug the lava conduit.


Tour: An early depart from Quito () taking the north Pan-American highway.
We will arrive at Otavalo then Cotacachi and next to the Cuicocha lake near approximately the 10:00AM where we will get ready for a long walk 5 hours around the crater; Box Lunch.
Return to Quito in the evening.

MINDO

Time: Full Day
Mindo Day is a hidden humid forest in western slopes of the Ecuadorian mountainous area; it is the center of greater biodiversity: great amount of ferns, bromelias, several species of birds, insects, mammals among others, in addition, several places of great attractive landscaping.

Tour: Depart from Quito at taking north west direction and taking an small technical stop in the viewpoint of the Pululahua.

After 2 hour we will visits the Orchids Farm, Butterflies farm and the Mindo Nambillo waterfall.
Lunch in the Mindo Aquarium Restaurant  and return to Quito in the evening.

COTOPAXI NATIONAL PARK
Time: Full Day
The Cotopaxi National Park, besides being the second biggest attraction in Ecuador after Galapagos, is a common volcanic place of the Ecuadorian mountainous area with it’s ,main attraction: the Cotopaxi volcano and other attractions like lakes in the surroundings, indigenous forts, and all the wonder of this area. The great extension of the Cotopaxi Park is cover of extensive Andean paramo like small valleys product of last Rumiñahui and Cotopaxi volcanoes; besides, was a cultural place where the Shyris and the Incas lived reason why several pucaras can be admired.

Tour: Exit of Quito by the Avenue of Volcanoes towards the South, we cross through the valley of the Chillos and explain several about the attractions in the way until arriving at Machachi where we turned aside towards the North entrance of the Park.
First we will  visits Lake of Limpiopungo, Pucara the Salitre and Lake of Santo Domingo where we made a small Picnic that will be our Box Lunch.
Ascent to refuge 15840 ft and visits glaciers. Return to Quito in the evening.

The Ilinizas Ecological Reserve has many attractions: the volcano Quilotoa volcano is one of them, in this 6 hours trek, along the boiler down to the Toachi valley and climb to Chugchilan.
